Asphalt Release Agents and Dilution Rates
Office of Materials Management
The following is a revised list of release agents and their corresponding dilutions. This list is for Bituminous Concrete Trucking on ODOT projects.
A new testing policy has been initiated which requires that any formulations which are submitted for approval for use as asphalt release agents must first be tested by another laboratory, they must perform their test in accordance with our procedures and issue a report exhibiting satisfactory compliance with our acceptance criteria. Once we have received this affidavit, a sample of the material and a letter of request which contains the product name and desired dilution rate we shall perform our test and base our acceptance on our results. If there are ** asterisk in the dilution rate box then please Note the comment below.
